I am a self-taught photographer, working on and off in this medium since 1978. I tend to be traditional in my approach, use minimal equipment, and work only with available light, shooting a wide variety of subjects in both color and black and white. I still use the first camera I ever bought, a 1980 Canon F-1, for virtually everything I photograph. I still shoot film, although my printing is now done digitally.
A native of the Boston area born in 1958 into a blue collar family, I have lived in many parts of the United States, worked in a variety of factory settings, and consistently had a passionate love of the road. I presently live in Seattle.
